Position Summary:
As part of the Advocacy group, the PAC Disbursement Representative will operate under the supervision of the Director, PAC Disbursements for NAR's REALTOR Political Action Committee (RPAC). The Disbursements Representative will serve as an integral connection between RPAC Disbursement Trustee members and NAR staff. The candidate will assist in high-level Trustee meetings, providing important logistical and administrative support to NAR staff and NAR members. The candidate will help ensure NAR’s wide array of political advocacy tools are modern and effective, allowing NAR advocacy efforts to remain at the forefront of the industry. Leveraging their strong communication skills, the Disbursement Representative will assist in gathering Political Advocacy Team wins to socialize with internal staff, NAR members, as well as to state and local REALTOR associations. Successful candidates will be able to multitask, have excellent organizational capabilities and exemplary communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage NAR federal PAC disbursement requests, working collaboratively with NAR Finance, Government Advocacy and other NAR staff to ensure relevant information is share timely and PAC disbursement requests are processed accurately.
- Assist the Director, PAC Disbursements with invoicing and vendor relationships.
- Under the supervision of the Director, PAC Disbursements, compile necessary information and produce documents related to the Federal RPAC Independent Expenditure and Federal Public Issue Advocacy programs.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the NAR Federal RPAC Disbursement Trustee Committee.
- With guidance from the Director, PAC Disbursements, oversee NAR created/managed disbursement reporting products.
- Provide administrative and strategic support to the NAR state/local Independent Expenditure Grant Program.
- Provide administrative and strategic support to the NAR state/local Issues Mobilization Grant Program,
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of related experience in politics, campaigns, legislative advocacy, grassroots campaigns
- Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
- Highly organized; ability to multi-task and excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
- Results-oriented with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
- Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
- Ability to travel up to 15% in an odd year and more in an election year.
