Position Summary:
The REALTORS® Relief Fund (RRF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing housing-related assistance to victims of disasters. Created as a REALTOR®-driven response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, RRF continues to restore and rebuild communities affected by disasters such as wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornados thanks to the generosity of individual REALTORS®, REALTOR® Associations, and affiliated organizations. Together, through the RRF, our community has awarded $35 million to help over 17,000 families remain in their homes over the last 21 years.
Reporting to NAR’s Chief Financial and Internal Operations Officer, the REALTORS® Relief Foundation is seeking a dynamic Executive Director to lead fundraising, strategy, marketing, and operations for the Foundation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Foundation’s Board of Directors to set and execute the overall fundraising strategy and goals. Proactively seek new opportunities and venues for engagement, promote the Foundation goals and objectives at appropriate major meetings, and foster relationships with current and prospective donors
- Direct and oversee all policies, objectives, and initiatives to maximize fundraising and operational effectiveness.
- Serve as liaison as appropriate to support the relationship between RRF and the state/local associations as well as the supporting corporate community.
- Collaborate with all areas of the Marketing and Communications team to develop marketing/promotional plans and collateral materials for promotion of the Foundation and to grow awareness and pride among members. Establish annual communication plan to include video and social media activities as appropriate.
- Partner with State/Local Associations, Institutes, Societies and Councils to position RRF as the “Charity of Choice” and foster a culture of awareness, understanding and mutual goal attainment. Develop a best practices disaster relief toolkit for State/Local Association grant recipients.
- Collaborate with IT or external consultant to enhance the Foundation’s use of technology to improve overall effectiveness.
- Manage Foundation financial processes and reporting with the NAR Finance services team, collaborate with Finance team to ensure annual audit and tax requirements are met, work with Legal team to ensure charitable filing compliance in all applicable states.

Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated track record of achieving fundraising goals
- Demonstrated ability to work with a volunteer board of directors and its subcommittees.
- Strong interpersonal, human relations, problem-solving, financial management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to make effective, persuasive speeches, and presentations on controversial or complex topics to public groups, boards, and other stakeholders
- Experience and skills with relevant technology including Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
- Ability to travel up to 10%
