Description

Position Summary:

The National Association of REALTORS® is looking for an energetic manager who loves building professional networks, global business, and nurturing and developing the skills of our REALTOR® members. The Manager of Global Council Engagement and Development will plan and execute outreach initiatives for state and local associations to improve realtor success with global real estate in the United States. The role is part of the Member Experience, Engagement, and Legal Affairs group of NAR and reports to NAR’s Director of Global Strategy.  

The Manager will be responsible for strengthening and nurturing the relationships between NAR and its USA-based Global groups. This includes providing guidance and support to local and state associations to build awareness and maximize global business potential in their local markets. This position also strongly promotes valuable NAR Global tools, research resources, education, and networking opportunities for US-based global audiences. The Manager of Global Council Engagement and Development will also lead and develop NAR’s Ambassador Program to create strong alliances and business relationships for US and non-US stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this position is personable, very enthusiastic, and creative, with a team-oriented attitude.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and execute business planning and outreach initiatives for local and state associations and volunteer leaders to assist the realtors in being successful in the US-based global real estate market.
  • Assist associations in conducting association, member, and community assessments and leadership buy-in to create a global group. 
  • Prepare and present in-depth presentations on the global opportunities in US markets using NAR Research, economic development data, and other industry research to create awareness of the potential income stream for our members.
  • Instruct the NAR 4-hour “Global Programs for Associations” course at the NAR major meetings and regional events.
  • Serve as staff executive to the Global Business Councils Forum at the two large NAR summits.
  • Lead and develop the NAR Ambassador Association and the annual Global Achievement Award programs.
  • Manage program budgets.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
 

Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of related experience in the real estate field, preferably within a state or local REALTOR® association and business experience.
  • Team player with close attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide a high level of service to each individual association.
  • Exceptional cross-cultural verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Versatile individual with strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
