Position Summary:

This role manages all development projects as the Project Manager and owns the digital development process.

The right candidate will be a dynamic, extraordinarily detail-oriented, highly autonomous, technically proficient, and very communicative individual who can run multiple digital projects simultaneously. They will be a sharp, critical thinker who intuitively sees next steps and who has the confidence to lead the way - planning, creating tasks, delegating, and holding the project team accountable to the shared mission. They will be committed to removing blockers and performing the small, daily actions that keep projects on track and produce great results.

They will be an expert in Agile and waterfall development methods and will be able to clearly report project status at varying levels of detail. They will have excellent judgment in prioritizing tasks and resources across sprints and projects to meet deadlines and ensure an effective, efficient development process.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own and champion all digital development projects to completion
  • Manage project teams, which may include QA, UX, Content, Dev, outside vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Create and manage detailed, organized project plans as necessary
  • Work diligently to keep staff accountable, creating the best environment for their success by removing blockers, managing resources and time, and jumping in wherever appropriate
  • Keep the team focused on the core requirements and direction, strictly manage scope
  • Forecast resources and time, manage light budgeting
  • Regularly report project statuses to management, and record detailed meeting notes
  • Own the Agile development process, managing all development
  • Coordinate all sprints, testing, and releases
  • Manage and administer project management and workflow tools as the business owner. These include JIRA, Confluence, Teamwork, and others
 

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of project management experience in a software development environment
  • Strong strategic thinker with excellent judgment and an ability to lead the development of websites and apps
  • Experience leading a software development team or a Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Demonstrates an enthusiasm for keeping abreast of industry trends, strategies, best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Ability to remain creative, diplomatic, calm under pressure. Ability to take initiative and act proactively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, and to foster communication and collaboration internally and externally
  • Thrives in a team-driven environment as well as on independent assignments, meeting or achieving self-set deadlines
