Position Summary:

We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our award-winning team, reporting to the Director, Total Rewards. The Human Resources Specialist will assist the team in promptly responding to our 500+ employees and retirees with their benefits, claims, COBRA, and other inquiries. This role also helps with the implementation of benefits and compensation initiatives. 

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and employee/retiree centric.  In addition, excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task flexibly are essential. 
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist employees and retirees with benefit questions, claims issues, COBRA, etc., including responding to our general email in box and resolving vendor issues, as needed.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding.
  • Maintain employee files and adhere to document retention policies.
  • Maintain electronic organizational chart system to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment process and verifying benefit elections.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking.
  • Complete annual ACA reporting via ADP Workforce Now.
  • Track sick leave.
  • Other duties, as assigned
 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR with an emphasis in Total Rewards and HRIS. 
  • Strong ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now preferred. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Strong working knowledge of benefit plans and applicable state and federal laws and regulations, i.e., ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Highly organized with excellent multi-tasking and follow-up skills.
  • Results-oriented with high attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems and consistently looking for ways to streamline processes.
