Become a Member of Our Team
We are seeking a Manager, Editorial Content whose focus will be on the editorial content of our bi-monthly trade publication, weekly e-newsletter, blog, and website industry content. Other responsibilities include:
·       Overseeing daily operations and supporting strategic direction for editorial content.
·       Determining and developing content priorities, themes, and plans for long-term multi-channel content calendar as well as identifying target topics, editorial direction, and potential writers.
·       Enforcing, revising, and establishing editorial policies and production schedules.
·       Writing select columns and articles and copyediting content.
·       Soliciting and nurturing relationships with members, staff, freelancers, industry experts in order to secure content and understand business priorities.
·       Managing outside graphic designer and various freelance writers; working with authors and others to secure photos, renderings, graphics, other images
·       Working with designers, printer, and digital publisher to ensure quality control.
·       Overseeing circulation and distribution of publications, both print and electronic.
·       Managing and overseeing the work of the content services administrator.

Showcase Your Skills and Experience!
·       Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills – ability to write quickly and accurately when required.
·       Expertise in project management and publication workflow – attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines.
·       Ability to identify and develop content that is new, informative, and relevant to property management practitioners.
·       Knowledge of copyright conventions, permissions, fair use, public domain.
·       Real estate knowledge and experience a plus as is proficiency with InDesign.
·       Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, or related field or equivalent professional experience with at least five years’ experience in magazine production and editing and content development and production.
·       Minimum two years of experience in a supervisory/team lead role preferred.
