Description

Position Summary:
The Marketing and Communications team of National Association of Realtors® includes a Creative/Content team, Public Relations/Advocacy/Operations team, Events & Meetings team and a Digital Team. The Vice President, Creative and Content sets the strategy for communicating the benefits of NAR membership to current and potential members; oversees communication and promotional initiatives that foster knowledge and understanding of the value of NAR membership, leading to greater retention of members; and leads NAR’s mass communications that provide value-added information and news to members.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and promotions – serves as the marketing arm for areas across NAR, including the realtor safety program, the realtor benefits program, new member on-boarding, as well as relationships with outside entities
  • NAR outreach – ensures a strong presence at major national and regional shows throughout the year to demonstrate member benefits. Coordinates with business units on staffing of the booths, signage, etc. This also includes oversight of the Good Neighbor Awards and Young Professional Network.
  • NAR branding – establishes rules and standards with regard to the NAR brand and provide oversight to ensure standards are followed. Regularly evaluates and evolves the brand in alignment with NAR goals and priorities.
  • Directs publishing decisions - develops business requirements, selects vendors, reviews and signs-off on new content/publishing channels.
  • Sets the editorial and content strategy for member communications channels such as magazines and website. Serves as final approver of media content.
  • Other duties, as assigned
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • At least 12 years of related experience and marketing/communications leadership including written, design, publishing, and/or video editing
  • Proven track record of planning and launching successful marketing campaigns
  • Trade show management experience
  • Proven ability to develop, adapt, and manage long-term plans and business strategies to create value
  • Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems
  • Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
