Position Summary:
Drive the development and execution of our education product initiatives as we transform professional learning through innovative technology solutions. This individual contributor role focuses on hands-on product management with opportunities for project leadership and delivering a measurable impact for our members while contributing to scalable educational experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Management
- Product Development: Contribute to product strategy and roadmap development for education portfolio initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and NAR member professional development needs
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis, competitive research, and member feedback analysis to inform product specifications and identify innovative use cases
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales, and stakeholder success teams to deliver high-quality educational products that achieve strong member adoption rates
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on KPIs and success metrics to support data-informed product decisions and demonstrate business value
Product Operations & Growth
- Project Coordination: Support budget planning and resource allocation for education product initiatives within defined parameters
- Analytics Implementation: Utilize analytics tools and support A/B testing processes to drive product iteration and measurable improvements
- Initiative Prioritization: Evaluate and recommend product initiatives based on member impact, business value, technical feasibility, and available resources
- Growth Support: Contribute to revenue generation initiatives and business model optimization for education products
Product Excellence & Innovation
- Optimization: Implement post-launch optimization processes that leverage stakeholder feedback, behavioral data, and performance analytics to drive product enhancement
- Quality Assurance: Support testing frameworks and user research protocols to ensure products meet high standards of user experience and educational effectiveness
- Innovation Research: Research and recommend emerging technologies and methodologies in adult education and learning technology
Project Leadership
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead specific product initiatives and projects, coordinating with diverse stakeholder groups to ensure successful delivery
- Process Improvement: Contribute to product discovery and delivery methodologies, ensuring thorough validation of product opportunities
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners related to education product initiatives
Required Qualifications:
Experience & Expertise
- Product Experience: Minimum 4 years of product management experience with exposure to adult education, data analytics, and SaaS-based learning technology (edtech)
- Collaboration Skills: 3+ years of demonstrated success working in complex, collaborative environments with ability to influence and work across diverse stakeholder groups
- Business Experience: 2+ years of for-profit business experience in product management roles with understanding of revenue generation and business models
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyze datasets and research findings, translating insights into product recommendations and enhancements
- Technical Understanding: Good understanding of SaaS architecture, agile development methodologies, software engineering principles, user experience design, and user research practices
- Research & Testing: Experience with product testing, user research methodologies, and leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data to inform product decisions
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple concurrent product initiatives with effective execution and delivery
Communication & Leadership
- Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to present to senior stakeholders and manage diverse relationships
- Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, demonstrate intellectual curiosity and growth mindset, and respond constructively to feedback
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with experience in analytics and visualization tools
- Initiative: Self-starter with ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience with AI/ML applications in educational technology
- Background in professional certification or continuing education markets
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in professional education
- Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools
- Previous experience in membership organizations or professional associations
Compensation: $100,000 -$120,000
NAR provides comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision insurance.
NAR is on a hybrid schedule with 3 days a week in the office.
