Description

Position Summary:

As part of the Member Experience, Engagement & Legal Affairs group, the Programs Manager will report to the Director, Member Experience and will be primarily responsible for managing the strategy, planning, programming, and logistics for the Member Experience team’s meetings, events, and trade shows.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage events timelines and project plans for all Member Experience meetings (virtual and in-person) and events by assessing desired outcome, determining needs, and meeting deadlines for event orders.
  • Collaborate with team members who are subject matter experts and content developers to determine event needs.
  • Define goals and success metrics for events and track through evaluation, research and analysis.
  • Manage vendor relationships. Advise on vendor offerings that can enhance the meeting experience (signage, technology, other visuals/enhancements).
  • Collaborate with teams from across organization on all facets of events such as content, website, promotions, registration, and more.
  • Manage onsite experience of meetings to ensure consistency, quality and satisfaction metrics are met. This includes room setup, coordinating AV needs and equipment, and ordering other materials for events as needed.
  • Manage Member Experience’s trade show experience at annual events.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
 

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of professional event planning experience (in-person and virtual); marketing experience is a plus
  • Skilled in meeting deadlines and adapting to fast changing priorities in a challenging and fast paced work environment
  • Ability to think in innovative ways to problem-solve
  • Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
  • Occasional travel required
