Position Summary:
The Event and Operations Coordinator will perform a variety of administrative and organizational tasks that support the Advocacy Events team and the programs and conferences they manage. The Coordinator will be required to travel to Advocacy events as well as the two national conferences each year. This position will report to the Director of Advocacy Communications and Strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support for Advocacy programs and events to include special conferences, seminars and other symposiums as needed
- Coordinate with the Events team to provide support in planning and implementation.
- Execute tasks such ordering materials, set up of event locations with materials, registration assistance.
- Travel to these events as needed including the annual conference.
- Process all Advocacy Committee and forum reports for the use of the Board of Directors during NAR Governance meetings to include editing, following protocols, and managing the process to completion.
- Perform administrative assignments for the Advocacy Group during NAR Annual Meetings and has assigned.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in event management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to support multiple programs.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Results-oriented with a high attention to detail
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
- Professional and poised demeanor when interacting with committee leaders and members at all levels of the Association.
- Ability to travel to events and annual NAR conferences.
