Position Summary:

The Association Relations Specialist of the Engagement & Association Leadership Development team will provide communication, administrative and organizational tasks that support the team, committees, and programs they manage. This position will report to the Director of Association Relations. 
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide communications support to the entire Association Engagement team to ensure all messages are consistent, timely and in the right channels for distribution.
  • Strategize with team on ways to develop, write, and distribute messaging to the Association Engagement audience.
  • Serve as the team point of contact for submitting Association Executive focused content to the weekly newsletter.
  • Manage content for the website and Facebook group for Association Executives. 
  • Serve as liaison between content strategists and Association staff to ensure coverage of all Association Executive programs and initiatives.
  • Knowledgeable on current NAR branding and communication guidelines set by the Marketing and Communications team. 
  • Ensure message and vision is consistent across creative, email, and web content mediums, for all programs.
  • Coordinate logistics and support for the Association Executives Committee (AEC) and its advisory boards, forums, and annually-appointed work groups, including preparation for both in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Provide administrative support for newly appointed Association Executives, AEC recognition programs and Strategic Planning Committee.
  • Order supplies and materials, ensuring items are packed and prepared for meetings and conferences. 
  • Capture and organize meeting notes, draft meeting minutes.
  • Prepare staff and committee leader schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of proven experience in a communication or association support role
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to support multiple programs
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Results-oriented with a high attention to detail
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
  • Professional and poised demeanor when interacting with committee leaders and members at all levels of the association
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office—Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience using JIRA and Iterable a plus.
  • High level of proficiency with technology to manage and support virtual and hybrid meetings
  • Non-Profit/Association experience highly preferred
  • Ability to travel to NAR conferences
 
Compensation: $60,000-$80,000, depending on office location
