Position Summary:
As a part of the Human Resources team, the Director of Learning, Development and Engagement will design, implement, and manage comprehensive development programs and strategies for 350+ staff that enhance employee growth, satisfaction, and retention. This role will be responsible for fostering a positive, engaging workplace culture, and ensuring alignment with NAR’s overall business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Learning Programs - Development and Delivery:
- Design and implement innovative and effective training programs and curricula that address skill gaps and promote continuous learning.
- Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, and platforms (e.g., e-learning, workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training) to meet diverse learning needs.
- Support the development of leadership development programs to build management capabilities and prepare future leaders.
- Manage the creation and implementation of employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, employee surveys, and wellness programs.
- Develop and manage mentoring and coaching programs to support employee growth.
- Support effective utilization of existing performance management systems that support employee development and organizational goals.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in training and development to ensure programs are current and effective.
- Manage the budget for learning and engagement programs, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Collaboratively identify engagement and training needs to inform the development of tailored learning and engagement solutions.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure training and engagement content is accurate and relevant.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging.
- Cultivate engagement through internal communications, events, and activities that support a collaborative and motivated workforce.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote development and engagement initiatives.
- Act as a champion for employee feedback, utilizing surveys and other tools to gauge employee satisfaction and address concerns
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of development and engagement programs.
- Create monthly/quarterly reports and provide insights on the impact of these programs and suggest improvements based on data analysis.

Qualifications:
- At least 7-10 years of experience in employee development, engagement, training or related HR roles.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design and delivery, trends, and training evaluation methodologies.
- Proven history of designing and implementing successful development and engagement programs.
- Strong understanding of current best practices in employee development, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Proficiency in HR and learning software, platforms, and tools.
Compensation: $115,000 - $150,000, depending on office location.
