Position Summary:

As part of the Marketing, Content, and Events group, the Senior Designer will report to the Creative Director and will be primarily responsible for developing design concepts for marketing campaigns, and associated deliverables, that connect with, captivate, and motivate target audiences, and has Art Director experience. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing in-house agency working with internal clients on integrated campaigns to promote products, services, and events for a booming industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates campaign concepts/designs for integrated marketing campaigns based on program or product value propositions and goals, target audience motivators and engagement opportunities, and campaign theme.
  • Executes marketing campaign concepts across digital, video, social, traditional (print), and event/experiential channels and virtual platforms from conception to completion.
  • Works closely with the Project Manager on resource allocation and assigning tasks and projects to junior designers.
  • Along with the Creative Director, supervise and guide junior designers on campaign and non-campaign creative deliverables including best practices, and overseeing and coaching on campaign theme interpretation, ideation, concept development, and the creative process.
  • Identifies and integrates applicable/new creative applications and trends (design, motion, video, illustration, etc.), products and programs that elevate design deliverables, promote team efficiency, and optimize creative and marketing functions for internal clients and state and local associations.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience as a design leader/ director at a creative or marketing agency.
  • Strong creative, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, social content, digital design, and motion graphics/motion design (insert graphics, bumpers, promotional graphics).
  • Works well with tight deadlines in a team environment.
  • Able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable and quick learner. Must be able to apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity.
  • Possess strong conceptual skills, high-level sense of design, layout, and typography, a broad thinker who offers a variety of design solutions.
  • Ability to support your work verbally and visually with thoughtful design rationale based on key insights, data, or user research.
  • Ability to contribute to design strategy and thought leadership discussions.
  • Ability to adapt to and thrive in a fast-paced work environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (once business travel resumes)
