Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Fair Housing Policy and Programs, the Fair Housing Policy and Programs Analyst is responsible for working collaboratively with NAR’s Fair Housing team in developing and implementing fair housing programs and initiatives for associations, brokerages, and members.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops knowledge of fair housing issues via publications, media, coalitions, academia, seminars, and other sources.
  • Assists in staffing NAR's Fair Housing Policy Committee, presidential advisory groups, and committee work groups.
  • Provides administrative and substantive support to NAR fair housing programs including Fairhaven, Bias Override and the Fair Housing Champion Award.
  • Manages logistics for NAR fair housing events, including Fair Housing Month and educational sessions at NAR conferences.
  • Liaises between the Fair Housing Team and marketing, events, web, and member development teams to execute delivery of fair housing programs and projects.
  • Manages marketing of NAR’s fair housing initiatives. Collaborates with MCE team to develop campaigns and assets. Manage fair housing program sponsorships.
  • Utilize tools such as polling, focus groups, and direct feedback to gather information about what additional fair housing programs NAR may offer to members, brokerages, and associations. Proposes new fair housing programs and initiatives. Provides support to fair housing team and contractors in developing new fair housing programs.
  • Ensure local and state REALTOR® associations are aware of the fair housing offerings available to them by direct outreach to associations; making presentations to groups such as GADs, AEs, and local associations; providing content for NAR websites and communication outlets such as newsletters, success stories, and social media.
  • Collaborates with fair housing team to manage fair housing content on nar.realtor. Implements changes and improvements to fair housing presentation and marketing materials.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
 

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working on relevant policy matters
  • Results oriented with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems and proactively develop strategies to address problems before they arise.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation.
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
