Position Summary:
As part of the Marketing, Communications and Events group, the Events Director will report to the Vice President, Meetings and Events and will be primarily responsible for overseeing the strategy, planning, programming, revenue opportunities, budget, and logistics for two major events: C5 Summit and iOi Summit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation, strategy, planning and execution for C5 Summit (commercial real estate) and iOi Summit (real estate technology).
- Develop revenue and expense budget, ensuring events stay within budget.
- Define goals and success metrics for events and track through evaluation, research and analysis.
- Determine programming and speakers.
- Create sponsorship opportunities within program for sales team.
- Collaborate with teams from across organization on all facets of events such as content, website, promotions, registration, and more.
- Engage member volunteers as needed for program input and attendee acquisition.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of event management experience including leading and building events from creation to execution.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, adapt, and manage short & long-term plans and strategies to create value/ROI
- Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
- Ability to travel up to 20%
