Description

Position Summary:
The Marketing and Communications team of National Association of Realtors® includes a Creative/Content team, Public Relations/Advocacy/Operations team, Events & Meetings team and a Digital Team. The Public Relations and Marketing Communications (MarCom) Operations team is responsible for media, advocacy and operations for the entire MCE team to include project management for the team. The Vice President oversees the strategy and leads the staff of the Public Relations & MarCom Operations team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Management and Policy Development—develop policies and procedures for the MarCom team to ensure consistency and workflow management; oversee project management function for Marketing, Communications, and Events group
  • Manage vendors and budget for the Marketing & Communications team—budget reconciliation to ensure invoices are aligned with statements of work and conducts appropriate vendor management processes regarding RFPs, bids and contracts in line with NAR standards
  • Lead special projects and implementation of Marketing & Communication team software—oversee program setup; setup training and administration for programs, schedule ongoing communications for continual improvements in systems
  • Develop media strategy—create, manage, and maintain relationships with media to promote NAR
  • Serve Advocacy team and Leadership team--aid them in communicating messages through strategic plans for each team
  • Other duties, as assigned
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • At least 12 years of related experience and leadership including marketing, communications, public relations and/or advocacy
  • Proven ability to develop, adapt, and manage long-term plans and business strategies to create value
  • Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems
  • Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
