Position Summary:

A Senior Business Analyst is a key role focused on bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. They analyze business processes, gather requirements, and ensure IT solutions align with business strategies. Senior Business Analysts play a critical role in project management, stakeholder communication, and process improvement initiatives


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the process of gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements through various techniques such as stakeholder interviews, workshops, and document analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the problems that IT is trying to solve with the ability to translate this information into actionable insights and visualizations.
  • Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring they are clear, concise, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyze existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions for improvement. This involves understanding workflows, data flows, and identifying areas where technology can be leveraged to optimize performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicating project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Provide ongoing support and clarification to technical and quality assurance teams during the development and testing phases of a project, answering questions and providing guidance as needed.
  • Participate in testing and validation efforts, ensuring that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, user stories, test plans, and project status reports
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, sharing their knowledge and experience to help them develop their skills and advance their careers.
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field is essential. Experience with project management, data analysis, and process improvement is also relevant to this role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial. This includes the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with stakeholders, preparing reports, with the ability to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience in leading teams or projects, mentoring junior analysts, and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
  • Expertise in Atlassian suite of tools, particularly JIRA and Confluence
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and various project management tools also nice to have.


Compensation: $105,000 - $120,000
NAR provides comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision insurance.
NAR is on a hybrid schedule in the office 3 days a week.
