Description

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Leadership & Sustainability, the Specialist, Leadership Training will coordinate and communicate on a series of specific, high-profile volunteer leadership programs and projects while supporting the Member Development & Events team’s mission of advancing the professionalism and relevance of REALTORS® worldwide through meaningful learning experiences, credentials, and programs. This position also serves as a general program and member support for the planning and execution of meetings and events related to NAR Volunteer Leadership identification, selection, and training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide communication and guidance to Volunteer Leadership Program participants on program involvement, expectations, and outcomes.
  • Oversee NAR Leadership Academy candidate vetting process, including application submission, profile preparation, profile distribution, and interview scheduling.
  • Manage, schedule, and track NAR Volunteer Leadership training courses with state and local associations.
  • Organize and maintain records of live and online course offerings, class metrics, and instructor information
  • Monitor and respond to participant/member inquiries regarding NAR Volunteer Leadership Programs, meetings, and events.
  • Plan and coordinate annual NAR Leadership Academy Graduation and Alumni networking events.
  • Engage and inform NAR Leadership Academy alumni of upcoming events and networking opportunities to maximize participation.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan, promote, and staff Volunteer Leadership Booths at major NAR events
  • Support NAR Meeting & Events team to ensure seamless execution of event logistics, including signage creation, AV, vendor management, and travel/lodging arrangements.
  • Support Member outreach initiatives to enhance awareness of all NAR Volunteer Leadership programs, training, and events.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in program management or related field
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and multitasking skill
  • Results-oriented with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
  • Working knowledge using Jira, Zoom, Asana, and other web-based programs
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
  • Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems
  • Experience working with high-visibility programs and association members a plus
