Position Summary:
As part of the Advocacy Group, the PAC Fundraising Representative will work under the direction of the Director of PAC Fundraising and PAC Events to apply and facilitate the tools and resources related to NAR’s REALTOR Political Action Committee (RPAC) and its associated programs. You will interface with state and local REALTOR associations, NAR membership and RPAC Trustees to ensure RPAC grants are processed and disbursed, RPAC investor benefits are fulfilled, and RPAC committees and councils are managed. Successful candidates will have a sincere interest in political fundraising, in particular with PACs, and be highly organized and self-motivated.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Director of PAC Fundraising and PAC Events, oversee RPAC fundraising grant programs, working state and local REALTOR associations to ensure grant applications are properly received and grant expenditures disbursed.
- Ensure RPAC fundraising data is properly received and transmitted by working with outside PAC compliance vendor as well as with NAR Finance Team.
- Engage directly with NAR Members and assist with RPAC questions relating to investment history, Major Investor levels and benefits, and NAR RPAC program matters.
- Manage and administer the RPAC Fundraising Grant Program for use by REALTOR® state and local associations and work with NAR Leadership Resources to provide RPAC Fundraising information relevant to NAR member leaders and their respective fundraising efforts.
- Assist with NAR RPAC events and federal political fundraising events.
- Oversee and manage the RPAC investor recognition program.
- Serve as Staff Executive to RPAC Major Investor Council. In addition to executing all preparation for committee and council meetings, be responsible for in person and webinars RPAC tutorials, strategize with Affiliate Groups to bolster broad RPAC investment strategy.
- Knowledgeable about PAC compliance and PAC data matters.
- Write fundraising emails and assist in the planning of fundraising campaigns.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of work experience with exposure to political fundraising; working with PACs, political campaigns, foundations, advocacy organizations, and/or experience for a member-based trade association.
- Strong desire for knowledge of email fundraising campaigns.
- Results oriented with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
- Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems
- Adept at maintaining a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations
- Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point
- Ability to travel up to 20%
