Position Summary:

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is seeking a Finance Meetings and Events Manager for its Meetings & Events Team. This individual will be primarily responsible for the management and reconciliation of M&E revenue and expenses, leading the budgeting process, and producing data analytics, and generating reports for registration, mobile app, other event tech products used at all events. The Meetings and Events Manager will report to the Director of Strategic Sourcing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Meetings & Events team in five-year budget cycles in conjunction with NAR Finance team
  • Spearhead annual budget updates and year-end projections
  • Reconcile revenue from commissions, registration fees, special events, etc., and transfer revenue to appropriate cost centers for three high profile events (Annual, Legislative, and Leadership Week) through NAR eCommerce and vendor systems
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment and coding of invoices provided by other M&E managers
  • Produce data analytics and reporting for registration, mobile app, other event tech products used at all events
  • On-site role as Office Manager or Registration for NAR’s Legislative Meetings, Leadership Week, and Annual Conference & Trade Expo
  • Manage seating assignments for formal receptions such as Inaugural Gala and any other event requiring assigned tables/seating
  • Provide customer service support for events
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of accounting or relevant experience in a finance role
  • Excellent organization, written communication and math skills
  • Able to quickly learn and adapt new technology tools
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office—with emphasis on Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with Lawson, membership databases, e-commerce systems a plus.
  • Experience in conventions, meetings and/or events, especially in finance or registration areas, is highly valuable.
  • Willingness to travel to domestic meetings as assigned.
