Position Summary:

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is seeking an Event Housing Manager for its Meetings & Events Team. This individual will be primarily responsible for managing the member-facing housing fulfillment function for NAR’S two city-wide meetings, NARNXT and RLM as well as its signature VIP event, Presidents Circle. Additional responsibilities include managing the housing staff/function of NAR’s housing/registration vendor and contracted room blocks. Primary contact and housing trouble-shooter for NAR Leadership and staff.  Including suite and vip needs. The Housing Manager will report to the Director, Strategic Sourcing.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Housing Block management 1-year out for key NAR events
• Manage Housing contractor effectively by creating clear timelines, effective communication and reporting standards
• Oversee hotel inventory audits, statistical analysis and revenue management  
• Determines and advises on future year room blocks, patterns, and contractual needs for all major NAR Events
• On-site housing management for NAR’s Legislative Meetings, President’s Circle and NAR NXT
• Provide excellent customer service support for both internal and external customers
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least five years of housing management experience in an association, housing company or convention hotel
• Outstanding high-touch customer service skills
• Excellent organization, communication and math skills
• Able to quickly learn and adapt new technology tools
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office—with emphasis on Excel and Outlook
• Experience in conventions, meetings and/or event management, is highly valuable.
• Willingness to travel to meetings as assigned.
