Description

Position Summary:
Working under the Director for Housing and Commercial Research, the Economist will collect, organize, and analyze housing and commercial data to produce analysis and reports on market trends and emerging issues          

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect, organize, and analyze data from NAR’s proprietary surveys
  • Extract, manipulate, analyze, and create data visualizations of publicly available and proprietary large datasets
  • Apply economic theory and statistical methods in analyzing data and developing data metrics
  • Assist in writing reports, press releases, and other written materials circulated internally and externally
  • Respond to pending inquires in a timely manner
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Statistics from an accredited college or university
  • Recent graduate with at 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with SQL, SAS, other coding software programs, and Tableau is a plus
  • Strong English communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
  • Relevant experience that demonstrates ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problem, high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
  • Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities directly pertaining to position
