Position Summary:

NAR’s Application Development team is seeking a dedicated security-minded Quality Assurance Analyst to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Application Development, the Quality Assurance Analyst will focus on testing, calibrating, troubleshooting and debugging all software products used by NAR’s members regardless of their platform. This candidate will be responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan and managing and executing activities involved in the test plan to ensure that all objectives are met and the solutions tested are successful, as predicted. With a commitment to providing NAR’s members with the highest quality of secure applications and software, the ideal candidate must exhibit a superior level of professionalism while resolving issues and providing sustainable solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the outstanding quality of all software products used by NAR’s members. Develop and execute well-defined tests to resolve software issues that arise
  • Identify potential quality issues per defined process and inform management of potential issues found
  • Utilize multiple variables such as functionality, performance, reliability, stability, compatibility, and other legacy or external systems to test solutions
  • Review functional and design specifications to fully comprehend individual deliverables
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan
  • Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts including test data, data validation, and automated scripts
  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results
  • Organize and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. Collaborate and liaison with team members in multiple areas including development, project management, and customer support
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
  • Other duties, as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 plus years of relevant QA technical experience
  • 3 plus years of e-business systems experience
  • Skilled in creating clear, concise, and detailed test plans/cases
  • Ability to understand and create test plans from written specifications or verbal communications
  • Expert in problem-solving
  • Adept in collaborating cross-functionally with various teams
  • Results oriented with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
