Description

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Real Estate Services and Policy Oversight, the Policy Representative for Public Policy Analytics will be responsible for providing data analysis and policy insights on regulatory and legislative policy proposals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow and identify trends across more than 15 public policy issue areas relevant to housing
  • Work with legislative and regulatory policy staff to determine the data and analysis needed to fully analyze and promote NAR’s policy agenda
  • Analyze research and data sets specific to NAR’s policy issues, as they impact NAR’s federal policy agenda
  • Write blog posts on hot button legislative or regulatory policy issues
  • Manage Regulatory Issues Forum at NAR’s Mid-year and Annual meetings to increase awareness of the federal regulatory issues that impact REALTORS®
  • Identify relevant private sector and allied organizations to support sharing of quantitative analysis relevant to NAR legislative and regulatory policy agenda
  • Other duties, as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in the public policy arena in a federal agency, Capitol Hill and/or in private sector
  • Master’s Degree Preferred
  • Familiarity with the real estate industry and membership or trade associations preferred
  • At least 3 years working with data driven policy analytics [including publicly available data sets]
  • Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
  • Results oriented with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
