Position Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished Manager of Office Operations to facilitate and oversee the day-to-day administrative functions of NAR’s in-house Legal Affairs Group. This role requires high-level administrative support experience and organizational expertise in to ensure the legal team operates efficiently, strategically, and with minimal disruption.

This role serves as the operational backbone of the Legal Affairs Group, ensuring seamless coordination across legal leadership, attorneys, other NAR Groups and NAR staff and outside counsel. The ideal candidate is a proactive manager with deep experience in office support and administrative roles. Candidates must have strong people leadership skills, sound judgment and the ability to anticipate and solve problems in a fast-paced, high-trust environment. The role plays a critical role supporting the General Counsel and legal leadership by translating strategic priorities into effective operational execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and continuously improve the operational functions of the Legal Affairs Group
  • Create and maintain workflows, build and facilitate administrative processes, maintain document management protocols and administer internal controls
  • Assist with contract review, due diligence, and regulatory compliance matters
  • Serve as central point of coordination for Legal Affairs Group administrative functions, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance with NAR policies and procedures
  • Manage Legal Affairs Group calendars, key meetings, deadlines and team-wide initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support for NAR’s contract management system
  • Manage various contact lists
  • Prepare executive-level correspondence, presentations, and reports
  • Handle confidential matters with the highest level of discretion and professionalism
  • Manage and coordinate travel arrangements, meeting logistics, expense reports, and administrative processes
  • Process and organize incoming mail, emails, and legal documents
  • Prepare invoices and assist with tracking financials
  • Support broader team initiatives and cross-functional projects such as the annual Legal Counsel Summit
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible and relevant experience including managing a legal or other office operations for teams of 10 or more
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience supporting a senior executive or General Counsel in a complex organization
  • Demonstrated experience managing processes and complex workflows in a legal or professional setting
  • Experience with an in-house legal environment, law firm or regulatory team preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with legal or contract management systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with ability to work independently
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presence
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and relation-building skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptability and initiative in anticipating needs and providing proactive support
Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 depending on office location

NAR provides comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision insurance.
NAR is on a hybrid schedule and in the office 3 days a week.
