Position Summary:

As the RAMCO Product Owner, you will join a dynamic team of innovators going through an exciting transformation and modernization journey of our Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform. You will significantly impact this key NAR initiative by bringing your rich experience to the team. Reporting to the Director of Association Technology Services, you will partner with the Information Technology group, application development team, and key business stakeholders to help define and implement a strategic vision, roadmap, and sprint plans based on company goals. This role is a blend of strategic and tactical execution in the development process, heavily emphasizing end-user interaction for training, idea generation, and testing. You must be comfortable working with key staff at large and small customers, implementing solutions with the built-in Microsoft Dynamics CRM tools, and architecting high-level solutions for the development team. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and document product features and requirements that optimize user experience, translating them into Agile epics and stories.
  • Ensure and assist in achieving and meeting project deadlines and schedules by supporting UAT activities, including defect triage and backlog resolution.
  • Plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring they align with business objectives and meet quality standards.
  • Train and educate customers on existing and new system features.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including user guides, release notes, and training resources, including, but not limited to, videos and user manuals.
  • Assess market and competitor trends, plus customer feedback to inform product direction.
  • Provide support to customers on issues they may be facing with new features and help the support team identify faults in existing features.
  • Lead business analysis sessions to support new and enhancement development efforts.
  • Effectively discuss product vision, expectations, and development progression with business users and customers.
  • Create user stories, user acceptance criteria, epics, process maps, data mapping, and formal requirements documentation that are well-defined and actionable.
  • Regularly communicate with business users and stakeholders to provide feedback and progress reports on product vision implementation.
  • Periodic travel to industry conferences is expected.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of proven experience as a product owner or similar role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is required. CRM version 2016 is our current platform, and the modernization effort will move us to CRM Online. Candidates with experience in both versions of MS Dynamics CRM will be prioritized.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Jira), with a strong understanding of product development lifecycles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Non-Profit/Trade Association experience preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Must be comfortable leading group discussions with users and training sessions in person and remotely.
